Peter Vermeylen

Peter Vermeylen has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Peter started their career as a SAP Business Consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 1998 and later worked as a SAP Business Analyst at Borealis in 2001. Peter then joined Pioneer Europe, where they held roles as Business Application Manager and later as an IT Director for the European region. In 2011, they became the Head of IT Expertise Center at Umicore before moving to LMS International as an IT Director in 2012. From 2014 to 2016, they served as the European ICT Director at Graphic Packaging International. Peter then became the CIO at Cerba Research from 2016 to 2021, followed by a role as Group CIO at Ardena from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they are the CIO at UZA, starting in 2023.

From 1990 to 1995, Peter Vermeylen attended KU Leuven, where they pursued a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Civil Engineer, Electro-Mechanics.
