Ugur Duran

Ugur Duran has worked in the finance industry since 1998. Ugur began their career as a Finance Manager and Financial Controller for Turkcell, where they managed all financial operations of all distribution and agency channels with a monthly volume of 500 mil. TRY turnover. In 2007, they took on the role of CFO for Turkcell Technology, where they were responsible for the establishment of the company and the implementation of corporate processes and systems. Ugur then moved on to Provus A MasterCard Company in 2012, where they were CFO and had direct responsibility of the financial, tax, legal, and commercial due diligence process. Ugur was also involved in the successful exit of Provus Card Personalization A.Ş. to Austria Card in 2013 and Provus Bilisim A.Ş. to MasterCard in 2014. In 2012, they also became a Board Member for ininal. Ugur then moved on to EKent Teknoloji ve Ödeme Sistemleri A.Ş. in 2014 as CFO, and in 2015 they became CFO for BACK-UP, Affinion International. During their time at Affinion, they achieved annual savings of app. 400k $ via effective cost management and cost decreasing projects in 2017, and had a direct impact to EBITDA of 200k $ in 2015, 250k $ in 2016, and 310k $ in 2017 with directly owned and led cost saving projects. Ugur also implemented a bad debt collection process which resulted in 200k $ collected out of 840k $ bad debt receivables. In 2019, they became CFO for V-Count.

Ugur Duran received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Economics from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University between 1990 and 1997. From 1986 to 1989, they attended Kabataş Erkek Lisesi, where they studied Mathematics. In 2010, they attended The Wharton School for Executive Education.
