Obioma Okehie

Manager, FPGA Design Group at V-Nova Ltd.

Obioma Okehie began their work experience at Sony semiconductors in 2000 as an Asic/FPGA design engineer. Obioma then moved on to become a Principal algorithms design engineer, where they were responsible for the development and design of complex wireless communication algorithms for various transmission networks and systems. During their time at Sony semiconductors, they also played a key role in creating essential and non-essential IPR/Patents for the 2nd generation DVB-T2 OFDM standard and receiver implementation. In 2015, Obioma joined V-Nova Ltd. as a Principal Design Engineer, where they led the set-up and establishment of the company's FPGA design group. Obioma successfully delivered and showcased the groundbreaking Perseus video compression technology on the FPGA platform. Additionally, Obioma served as the Manager of the FPGA Design Group at V-Nova Ltd. since December 2016.

From 1997 to 2000, Obioma Okehie attended the University of Westminster. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Communications Systems Engineering and successfully achieved a first-class degree classification.
