Lisa Ronquest-Ross has over 20 years of experience in the food industry. Lisa began their career in 1999 as a Technical Exchange Student with Michel Torino. Lisa then moved to Unilever in 2000, where they worked as an Assistant Packaging Development Manager and later as a Packaging Development Manager. In 2002, they joined Nampak as a Food Scientist. In 2003, they moved to PepsiCo as a Product Development Manager. In 2007, they joined Mars as a Research & Development Manager, and was promoted to Global Head of Product Development and later to Research & Development and Sustainability Director. In 2017, they became the Head of Food Technology at Woolworths. In 2018, they joined MANE as an R&D Executive - Flavours - Africa, and in 2022 they were appointed as the Head of Science & Technology at v2food.
Lisa Ronquest-Ross completed a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Biochemistry at Stellenbosch University between 1994 and 1996. Lisa then went on to complete a Master of Science (cum laude) in Food Science at Stellenbosch University between 1997 and 1999. In 2001, Lisa obtained a Diploma in Packaging Technology from the Institute of Packaging South Africa. Lisa also obtained a Science of Baking; Diploma from AIB International in 2004. In 2005, Lisa completed a Management Development Program at Stellenbosch Business School. In 2012, Lisa began a PhD in Food Science & Technology at Stellenbosch University, which they are still pursuing. In 2018, they completed a course at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership in Business & Sustainability.
