Richard Mendoza

Richard “Rick” Mendoza is the chief people officer for Vectrus. Since 2017, Rick has served as the senior people leader at The Vertex Company responsible for the tactical execution and strategic direction of all aspects of Human Resources, Security, Communications, Payroll, Labor Relations, and Learning & Development. He joined the Vertex team in 2016 as the director of human resources overseeing ‘People Operations’ comprised of the HR Business Partner, Employee Relations, Talent Management, and Compliance functions.

Prior to joining Vertex, Rick was the senior manager of HR for L3 Technologies Platform Integration, a division of 1,700 employees with expertise in aircraft design, system integration, flight sciences engineering, and major structural modification. In that position, he led the HR Business Partner, Talent Management, Human Capital Management Solutions, and Compensation & Benefits functions. He joined the Waco, TX-based operation of L3 in 2004 as the division’s talent acquisition lead and HR business partner.
