Paul Ratcliff's work experience begins in 1998 as an Operations Supervisor at Panther Expedited Services. Paul then worked their way up to various roles within the company, including Training & Development Manager, Human Resources Manager, Director of Human Resources, and Director of HR Development. In 2009, they became the VP of Strategic Resources at Panther Expedited Services. In 2016, they joined V3 Transportation as the Chief Operating Officer.

Paul Ratcliff pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their undergraduate study in History and Computer Science at Hiram College from 1985 to 1987. Paul then transferred to Youngstown State University, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History and Computer Science from 1987 to 1989. Subsequently, Paul attended Texas A&M University from 1989 to 1993, where they pursued graduate studies in History, ultimately earning a graduate degree. Later on, they furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business from Walsh University from 2003 to 2005.
