Pete Galligan

Pete Galligan is the current Chief Revenue Officer at Vaadin. Prior to joining, they were the CFO/COO at Elateral from September 2016 to January 2018. There, they successfully directed the turnaround of the venture-backed open source software firm specializing in leveraging open source technology solutions for Global 2000 companies. Pete elevated the company to a cash flow positive position and achieved profitability, successfully positioning the company for sale. Pete also transformed and restructured the company, changing the sales process and culture, and guiding a global sales initiative - all of which resulted in significant top line sales growth.

In their 5 years of consecutive sales growth at Elateral (the longest period in the company's history), Pete achieved a 50%+ CAGR over the last 8 quarters and a 35%+ CAGR over five years. Pete instituted a business development approach and consultative sales model for large transactions, then recruited higher-caliber sales specialists to target global enterprise accounts such as Bank of America, GM, AIG, McKesson, and First Data.

Pete gained the board's confidence in the sales team's ability to drive future revenue in an unpredictable economy by defining a disciplined pipeline process and qualifying prospects before advancement to the next stage. Pete consistently received outstanding customer satisfaction ratings while maintaining a 83% SaaS model renewal rate - noteworthy in the nascent open source market.

At Elateral, Pete elevated OpenLogic to a thought leadership position and gained renown for their innovative business model by creating webinars and blogs educating the market on emerging solutions and greater options for using open source. Pete also established technical support and professional services functions as new revenue drivers, providing services on non-OpenLogic solutions - key to broadening client relationships and generating additional monthly recurring revenue.

Pete Galligan reports to Steven Grandchamp, CEO. They work with Leif Åstrand - VP of R&D, Marcus Hellberg - VP of Developer Relations, and Minna Hohti - Head of People & Culture.
