Benjamin Leslie has a wealth of work experience in the field of computer vision engineering. Benjamin began their career in 2013 as a Risk Researcher at Cambridge Judge Business School, where they were responsible for research into the cyber economy and the impacts of a cyber disaster on different economic sectors. Benjamin was tasked with data collection, object-oriented programming, communication with stakeholders, agent-based modelling, independent research, data structure design, and data collation. In 2015, they moved to Oxford Technical Solutions Ltd as an R&D Engineer: Navigation Algorithms. In this role, they were responsible for developing new capabilities in the company's navigation software, as well as providing expertise on inertial navigation system algorithms and data processing. Benjamin also acted as the R&D lead for OxTS's LiDAR geo-referencing and boresight calibration. In 2018, Benjamin Leslie joined Rovco as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer and Technical Lead for a £1.2m InnovateUK funded project. This project focused on developing new capability for Rovco's subsea camera system and intelligent data platform. Finally, in 2021, they joined Vaarst as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer.

Benjamin Leslie completed a Master's Degree in Machine Learning at the University of Bristol between 2014 and 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy [Discontinued] in Matrix Completion, Numerical Analysis from the University of Oxford between 2011 and 2013. Benjamin also obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Pure Mathematics from The University of Edinburgh between 2007 and 2011.
