Gunter Spilhaus

Gunter Spilhaus is an experienced events manager and outdoor instructor with a diverse background in competitive sports, safety coordination, and business management. Currently serving as the Manager of Events and Competition Services at Vail Resorts, Gunter oversees a comprehensive program involving race coaching for numerous youth athletes. An American Canoe Association Level 3 Coastal Kayak instructor, Gunter also holds multiple sailing instructor certifications. Previous roles include serving as the Safety Coordinator for Switchblade Films and managing logistics for various events, including the Wildcat 100 endurance mountain bike race, while also having experience in sailing instruction and district management at Offshore Sailing School. Gunter pursued education in Business Administration and Management at Empire State University and has a background in military diving training.
