Joana Pereira

Joana Pereira has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2016. In 2016, they were an R&D Fellow at the Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research, where they developed and maintained a script to study the wettability of surfaces. From 2017 to 2019, they were a .Net Full-Stack Developer at BNP Paribas Securities Services, where they developed, tested and maintained C#-based tools using WPF and conforming with MVVM design principles within an Agile Kaban environment. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Full-Stack Developer at EDISOFT - DEFENCE & AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGIES, where they were responsible for the development and maintenance of components for a fully integrated Air Traffic Management software. Currently, they are a Full-Stack Developer (React JS / Java) at VAKT Global Ltd.

Joana Pereira completed their Bsc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico in 2014. In 2017, they obtained their Msc in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, with a specialization field in Energy.
