Valdese Weavers
Jackie Dering is an accomplished designer with extensive experience in fabric design, particularly in woven upholstery. Currently serving as a Senior Designer II at Valdese Weavers since January 2010, Jackie specializes in designing fabrics for the contract, OEM, and hospitality markets, focusing on performance and sustainability. Previous roles include Senior Designer at Cone Jacquards, where Jackie managed all aspects of fabric production, and earlier positions at Valdese Weavers and HAFNER USA, contributing to jacquard fabric design. Jackie holds a Master of Science in Textile Design from Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts/Fibers from Montclair State University.
