Gabriel Valdivia

Gabriel Valdivia is a highly experienced design professional and entrepreneur, currently serving as Founder & Principal Designer at Valdivia Works since July 2023, where the focus is on assisting early-stage startups. Prior to this, Gabriel held various significant roles at Patreon, including Principal Product Designer and Head of Design for Core Experience, leading substantial team growth and product redesign initiatives. Gabriel's extensive career also includes positions at CNN as Design Director for Emerging Products, Co-Founder of Makeshift Brooklyn, and Head of Design at Canopy. Additionally, Gabriel contributed to Google's Jigsaw division and served as a Staff Product Designer at Meta, where notable projects included design leadership in VR technologies. Gabriel's foundational role at Automatic Labs as Founding Designer and earlier experience at Mopro solidify a robust background in design and product development. Gabriel holds a BFA in Graphic Design from The Art Institutes.
