Karl Heyerichs is an experienced professional in the mining and metallurgical sectors, currently serving as Process Superintendent at Vale since 2001, where responsibilities include the safe and efficient operation of the mill to transform ore into concentrates and maximize metals recovery. Previously, Karl held various positions at INCO from 1996 to 2007, including Chief Maintenance Planner, where leadership of planning teams for mill maintenance was key, as well as Maintenance Engineer, Mill Supervisor, and Process Engineer, focusing on equipment reliability and production improvements. Karl began the career at ArcelorMittal Dofasco from 1987 to 1996, leading quality and production enhancement initiatives. Educational credentials include a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Queens University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering from McMaster University. Additionally, Karl serves on the Board of Directors, contributing as Chairman of the charity selection committee.
