Kilma Cunha

Kilma Cunha possesses extensive experience in the mining and metals industry, currently serving as Director of Operations at Vale for Base Metals since May 2005. Kilma has held various leadership roles at Vale, including Executive Manager and General Manager of Operations for the Onça Puma project, overseeing mine operations and processing plant functions. Prior experience includes managing over 300 personnel at Sossego and operational planning for two key mine projects, with responsibilities in performance indicators, cost management, and equipment maintenance. Earlier roles also include Senior Mine Engineer and Engineer de Minas, focusing on operational planning and project coordination. Kilma's educational background includes a degree in Mining Engineering from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and a postgraduate degree in Finance from Universidade de Marabá.
