Olga Kovalik

Olga Kovalik is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project development and management within the mining and aluminum sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Capital Projects at Vale since June 2021, Kovalik has previously held significant roles including Project Development Director for Simandou at Rio Tinto and Vice President and Head of Development and Construction at Itafos. Kovalik's earlier experience includes serving as Project Director for the Farim Phosphate Project at GB Minerals Ltd., Manager of Aluminum Business Development at BHP Billiton, and Director of Business Improvement at Alcoa, where notable achievements included substantial cost reductions and leading large-scale capital projects. Kovalik's educational background includes an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining from McGill University.
