Michael Nolan

Michael Nolan has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Michael is currently the VP, Head of Biology at Valence Discovery since August 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director, Biology at Matchpoint Therapeutics from April 2021 to August 2022. From April 2018 to April 2021, they were an Entrepreneur in Residence at Atlas Venture and also served as the Co-founder and Head of Biology at Quench Bio during the same period. Before that, they worked at GSK as a Director from October 2014 to April 2018. Michael had a long tenure at Tempero Pharmaceuticals, starting as a Principal Scientist in February 2009 and leaving in October 2014. Earlier in their career, they held positions as a Scientist II at Ascent Therapeutics from July 2008 to February 2009, and as a Senior Research Scientist at Wyeth Research from May 2006 to July 2008. Michael also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Wyeth Research from May 2004 to May 2006.

Michael Nolan completed their Bachelor's degree in Biophysics at SUNY Geneseo from 1993 to 1997. Following this, they pursued a PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Washington from 1997 to 2004.
