Amit Abershitz

Amit Abershitz has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Amit currently works as an Engineering Manager at Valence Security starting from 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer on the "Founding Team" at a Stealth Mode Startup from 2021 to 2022, where they built full-stack B2C web applications and implemented various systems and integrations. From 2018 to 2021, they served as an Engineering Group Manager at Proofpoint, leading the CASB frontend group and collaborating with Product, UX, and Visual Designers. Amit also worked at Citi Innovation Lab as a Full-Stack Team Leader from 2016 to 2018, leading a development team in the municipal securities division. Before that, they were the CTO at Capital A Premium Investments from 2014 to 2015, where they supervised a joint venture and led investment strategy and algo-trading research. Amit also worked as a CTO and Proprietary Trader at Delavenne Enterprises from 2005 to 2014, designing and developing automated trading systems and leading investment strategy research. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at GeoSim Systems from 2002 to 2005, developing 3D geographical data acquisition systems and software plugins. Amit began their career as a Software Engineer at NIR-OR from 1999 to 2000, designing and developing embedded solutions for various clients.

Amit Abershitz attended Ort Gutman from 1994 to 1998, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science at the high school level.
