Laurie Wood

Laurie Wood has extensive experience in education and training, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Professional and Continuing Education at Valencia College since August 2013. In this role, Laurie oversees daily operations of programs, manages support staff, and enhances the training of implementation and program staff to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. Prior experience includes positions as Program Coordinator at Rocket Learning, where Laurie facilitated academic support for low-income students, and Instructor at the Institute of Reading Development, teaching reading skills to a diverse age range. Laurie's earlier roles include Recruitment Coordinator at Brainfuse and Assistant Editor at Bookspan, LLC. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from the University of South Carolina and additional studies in Internet Direct Marketing and Professional Copyediting at New York University.
