Sobia Khan

Sobia Khan is the current Provost of EAC & LNC at Valencia College. Sobia has also held the position of Dean for Academic Success at San Antonio College from September 2018 to March 2022. Prior to that, they were the Founder and Principal of EPIC Sunday School at EAST PLANO ISLAMIC CENTER from June 2012 to June 2015. Sobia Khan has also served as the AANAPISI Grant Project Director at Richland College from August 2011 to August 2018. Sobia started their career as an Instructor of Record and TA at The University of Texas at Dallas from August 2006 to May 2011.

Sobia Khan graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in Studies in Literature from The University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Arts in Studies in Literature also from The University of Texas at Dallas. Her undergraduate degree is in Literary Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas. Sobia also has an Associate of Arts in Computer Graphic Design from Collin College. Her secondary education was completed at St.Joseph’s Convent School in Karachi, Pakistan where they completed their O’Levels.

They work with Joe Richardson - VP, Student Affairs, Isis Artze Vega - Provost & VP, Academic Affairs, and Wendy Givoglu - Provost, DTC & WPC. Their manager is Kathleen Plinske, President.
