Dean Villet

Dean Villet is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and management within the education and utility sectors. Currently serving as a Board Member at Valenture Institute since May 2022, Dean has also held the position of Managing Director for South Africa at the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation Africa NPC since April 2014, where responsibilities included directing educational initiatives. Previous roles include Board Member at SweepSouth from November 2019 to April 2022, Director of Professional Services at Itron overseeing utility services across Sub-Saharan Africa from August 2010 to April 2014, and Strategic Programme Manager at Eskom from November 2002 to August 2010. Dean holds a B. Eng in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pretoria, completed between 1991 and 1995.
