William D. Provine

William D. Provine is a board member at AAAS. William has previously worked as a research manager at DuPont Titanium Technologies, where they led a group of 20 PhD researchers and created novel solutions to long-standing technical challenges in key projects. William has also served on the board of directors for Butamax Advanced Biofuels, LLC.

William D. Provine received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. William then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware. In addition, William D. Provine is certified by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an Accredited Investor and by DuPont as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
