David Ramirez

David Ramirez, CPA is the Director of Accounting at Valero Energy Corporation since June 1998. With a background in business unit reporting, accounting best practices, refinery accounting, and hydrocarbon/operations accounting, David has led various projects such as acquisitions, divestitures, and implementation of SAP, TSW, PRA, and SOX. David's software proficiency includes SAP IS-Oil, SAP Business Warehouse, Microsoft Office Suite, Essbase, and other tools. Prior to their current role, David worked as a Supplemental Instructor (Tutor) for Accounting & Economics and a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where David earned their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting.
