Joe Nichols

Joe Nichols, MBA, has over 15 years of experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Manager of Reliability Inspection at Valero Energy Corporation since April 2012. In this role, Joe oversees the Mechanical Integrity program, develops department employees, and crafts strategies for department effectiveness while managing budgetary considerations. Previous positions include Chief Refinery Inspector, Staff Inspector/Reliability Supervisor, and Senior Inspector/RBI Coordinator, showcasing a robust background in inspection and reliability. Prior to joining Valero, Joe worked as a Project Manager at METCO, focusing on API and NDE inspections, and served as a Depot Manager at GulfStar Group. Joe Nichols holds an MBA in Organizational Leadership and a BBA in Marketing from Lamar University.
