Matthew Jackson

Matthew Jackson has an extensive career in the energy sector, currently serving as Director of Gulf Coast Product Supply at Valero Energy Corporation since April 2007. Jackson has progressed through various roles within Valero, including Senior Manager, Manager of Trading, and Trader, with a focus on distillate trading in the U.S. products export market. Prior to these roles, Jackson worked as a Staff Planning Engineer in feedstock and distillate optimization for Valero's Gulf Coast refineries. Earlier experience includes positions as Lead Investor Relations Specialist and Market Analyst, where Jackson analyzed global oil supply, demand trends, and refinery competitiveness, along with work at CITGO Petroleum as a Process Engineer specializing in Alkylation and Reforming units. Jackson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2004.
