Kayla Bouknight

Kayla Bouknight is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and clinical settings. Currently serving as a Senior Research Analyst at Valiant Harbor International, LLC since May 2022, Kayla manages and supervises a portfolio of over 196 biotechnology and 26 auditory performance research projects valued at over $100 million for the Office of Naval Research. Prior experience includes roles as an Emergency Department Scribe at Inova Fairfax Hospital, a Clinical Laboratory Technician at EVMS HOPES FREE CLINIC, and an 8th Grade Science Teacher at Prince George's County Public Schools. Kayla has also completed internships in microbiology and biochemistry at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. Educationally, Kayla holds a Master’s degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Eastern Virginia Medical School and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Hampton University.
