Colin Cumming

Colin Cumming is a Senior Data Consultant at Validere since February 2023, having previously held titles such as Data Consultant and Associate Product Strategy Consultant within the same organization. Prior to Validere, Colin worked as a Software Engineer at AVO, where production software was developed for data collection and analysis for large mining operations, achieving significant improvements in model training time and accuracy through novel computer vision methodologies. Colin also served as Managing Director of Design at QMIND, Canada's largest undergraduate AI and machine learning organization, overseeing a sizable team and multiple AI consulting projects. During tenure at QMIND, significant projects included a computer vision algorithm for real-time sign language translation and a machine learning model for estimating house rebuild values. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from Queen's University.
