Jeremy Woods

Jeremy Woods has extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Jeremy currently serves as the Precision Medicine Director at Valley Children's Healthcare. Jeremy also holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor (Affiliated) at Stanford Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. Prior to these roles, they worked as a Clinical Instructor at UCLA Health, where they dedicated 75% of their time to translational science and clinical trials, particularly in the field of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Additionally, they see adult and pediatric general genetics patients for 25% of their time. Jeremy has been actively involved in industry-sponsored clinical trials for this condition, focusing on nonsense read-through drugs and adeno-associated virus gene replacement therapies.

Jeremy Woods completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Gonzaga University in 2004. Jeremy then obtained their medical degree (M.D.) from Oregon Health & Science University in 2014. Following that, they pursued a residency in Pediatrics at UCLA from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, Jeremy completed a Fellowship in Medical Genetics and Genomics at the University of California Los Angeles. Jeremy further enhanced their expertise by undertaking a Post-doctoral fellowship in Neuromuscular Genetics in the laboratory of Stanley Nelson at UCLA from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, Jeremy holds certifications including a DEA License and a Physician And Surgeon (Allopathic - M.D.) license from the state of California.
