Jason Heetland has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jason began their career as the Branch Director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale in 1996, eventually transitioning to the position of Director of Development. In 2002, they became a Graduate of Class 17 at Scottsdale Leadership, a year-long program for professionals and community leaders. Jason also worked as a Business Development and Marketing Executive at Gannett and served as the President and Owner of Sphinx Date Co., a multi-channel retail operation. Jason was involved with the Scottsdale Active 20-30 Club as a Past Active Member, supporting children's charities through special events. Jason later became the President of Open Range Business Advocacy. From 2013 to 2020, they held various roles at the Valley of the Sun YMCA, including Executive Director, District Executive Director, and Associate Vice President of Operations. Most recently, they served as the Vice President of Branch Operations, Facilities, and Vendor Relations at the same organization. Overall, their experience includes executive management, financial development, facilities oversight, fundraising, and community relations.
Jason Heetland earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication, History, and Non Profit Management from Arizona State University, where they studied from 1995 to 2000. Jason also obtained a High School Diploma in General Studies from Coronado High School, which they attended from 1991 to 1995. In 2016, they pursued a Coaching degree specializing in Parenting, Family, and Life Coaching at Jai Coaching Institute.
