Gina Portelli

Gina Portelli is a highly experienced Learning Specialist and Art Therapist with over a decade of experience in providing art therapy services to individuals with special needs across various educational settings. Currently, Gina develops and implements innovative art therapy programs for students from preschool to high school at Valley View School District, while also consulting with educators and families on social and emotional goals. Gina also serves as the Director of Public Relations for the Illinois Art Therapy Association and co-facilitates therapeutic camps and playgroups through Learning through Play. Prior roles include developing art therapy programming at Guiding Light Counseling and working as a Learning Specialist and Special Education Paraprofessional at Noble Network of Charter Schools. Gina's background includes internships and teaching experience, holding a Master's degree in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Painting from the University of Louisville.
