Sherif Kaiser, MD, is vice president of Medical Affairs for Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Romney, WV and War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, WV.

Dr. Kaiser plays a key role in advancing Valley Health’s efforts to be a Highly Reliably Organization and has primary oversight for patient safety, quality of care improvement and implementation of efficiencies in clinical care at both hospitals. He also serves as the liaison with both hospital’s medical staffs, focusing on retention and engagement.

Dr. Kaiser, who is board certified in family practice, as a graduate of King’s College in London with a Master’s Degree in public health and received his medical degree from Cairo University Medical School. He completed a residency in family practice at Virginia Commonwealth University/Blackstone Family Practice and served as chief resident at VCU. He is the founder and manager of Berryville Medical Associates, where he will continue to practice medicine on a part-time basis. He has been a staff physician at Winchester Medical Center since 1996 and has served on Valley Health’s Board of Trustees. Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Kaiser was honored with the National Teacher’s Award from the Society of Teachers of Family Practice in 2020.
