Erkko Penttilä

Erkko Penttilä serves as the Director of EMEA Health Safety Environment Operations at Valmet since May 2019, previously holding roles such as Global HSE Manager and HSE Manager within the Automation Business Line. Prior to Valmet, Erkko worked at Metsä Group from January 2016 to April 2019, serving as Area Safety Manager overseeing multiple facilities and as Corporate Safety Manager responsible for health and safety across Metsä Fibre. Erkko's experience also includes a role as Safety and Lean Manager at Ahlstrom from May 2011 to December 2015, and earlier positions focused on safety engineering and compliance within various organizations, including Securitas Oy and the City of Tampere. Erkko holds a Master of Science degree in Safety Management and Engineering from Tampere University of Technology.
