Soila Hietala

Soila Hietala is a Development Engineer at Valmet since October 2017, specializing in molded fiber process and technology development within the Board and Paper Mills Business Unit. Previously held the position of Risk Engineer, focusing on operational risk management and quality assurance. Soila completed a Master's thesis on managing risk information in project business, aimed at enhancing project risk management practices. Early career experiences include roles as a Bioforce Trainee at UPM in environmental management, Process Operator at Stora Enso, and production positions at Aspocomp and TT Gaskets. Soila holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Oulu, along with experience as a technical intern with the City of Tampere.
