Andreas Meinke

Andreas Meinke has a diverse work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Andreas began their career at Intercell AG in 1998 as a Staff Scientist and later took on the role of Head of Antigen Discovery. In 2008, they became the VP of Global Head of Alliance and Grant Management before being promoted to SVP of Global Head Research in 2010. Meinke left Intercell AG in 2014 to join Valneva as the VP of Preclinical & Translational Research. Andreas was later appointed as the VP of Global Head Pre-clinical Research & Development at Valneva in July 2018.

Andreas Meinke obtained their Diplom in Biology in 1988 from the University of Freiburg. Andreas then pursued their Ph.D. in Biology from 1989 to 1992, completing it at both the University of Freiburg and the University of British Columbia. Following their Ph.D., they worked as a Post Doc in Biology at the University of British Columbia from 1992 to 1994. From 1994 to 1999, they served as an Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of Vienna.
