Jochen Kustermann

Jochen Kustermann is an experienced professional in the field of biochemistry with a strong background in quality control and process management. Currently serving as Head of Lab Support and QC Manager at Valneva since February 2022, Jochen also holds responsibilities as Head of QC Substitute and manages a laboratory team. Prior experience includes working as an MS&T Engineer at VTU Engineering from September 2021 to January 2022, where consulting roles focused on Manufacturing Science & Technology and Transfer Management. Jochen's tenure at Novartis from January 2018 to August 2021 encompassed roles such as Process Expert, Stability Manager, and Stability Specialist, contributing to product quality, compliance, and stability testing. Jochen holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field, all obtained from Ulm University.
