Liisa Räsänen

Liisa Räsänen has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Liisa is currently serving as a Board Member at the Liikennevakuutuskeskus – Finnish Motor Insurers' Centre, starting in January 2023. Liisa is also the Chairman of the Board at the Economics Alumni of the University of Helsinki since June 2023.

Prior to these positions, Räsänen was the Director of Services for Citizens at Valtiokonttori (State Treasury of Finland) starting in June 2022. In this role, they handled accident compensation, compensations for military injuries, criminal damage, exemption decisions, inheritance matters, and business cost support for companies during the pandemic.

Before working at Valtiokonttori, Räsänen held the position of Director at the Patentti- ja rekisterihallitus (PRH) - Finnish Patent and Registration Office from November 2015 to June 2022. Liisa was responsible for overseeing enterprises and corporations, as well as managing the Finnish Trade Register, the Register of Associations, the Register of Foundations, and Enterprise mortgages.

Liisa also served as the Head of Market Analyses from 2007 to 2013, Head of Research from 2005 to 2007, and Senior Adviser from 2002 to 2004. Their responsibilities included managing the Finnish .fi ccTLD, customer service, registration system, .fi root, and analyzing and monitoring communications markets and services.

Prior to their time at FICORA, Räsänen worked at the Finnish Competition Authority (FCA) as a Senior Research Officer from 2001 to 2001 and as a Research Officer from 1999 to 2000. Their role involved coordinating competition analyses, investigating competition restraints, and handling Nordic cooperation and EU affairs in the telecommunications and finance sectors.

Additionally, Räsänen gained valuable experience as a Trainee at the European Commission in 1997.
