Jenni Jaakkola

Jenni Jaakkola currently serves as the Secretary General at the Finnish Economic Policy Council since September 2024, while simultaneously holding the position of Ministerial Adviser and Senior Specialist at the Valtiovarainministeriö since February 2018. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Economist and Economist at the National Audit Office of Finland from January 2015 to February 2018. Jenni's academic background features a PhD in Economics from the Finnish Doctoral Programme in Economics, complemented by research roles at various institutions including the University of Turku and the University of Zurich, where Jenni was a Visiting PhD student. The educational foundation includes a M.Sc. in Economics from Turku School of Economics.
