Tom Barney

Tom Barney has over 39 years of experience in the technology and biology sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Application Developer at the Van Andel Institute since 2004, Tom previously worked as an Application Developer at Meijer from September 2000 to September 2004. Prior to that, Tom held roles as a Computer Administrator/Developer and Lab Technician at Keebler Company from September 1988 to August 2000, and as a Microbiologist at Thorn Apple Valley from September 1984 to September 1988. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Physical Science from Michigan Technological University between 1979 and 1984.
