Pavol Polacik

Pavol Polacik is the current Director at van den Boom & Associates. Pavol has held this position since February 2021. Prior to that, they were an Audit Senior Manager at EY from January 2009 to February 2021. There, they were responsible for applying deep analytical knowledge and attention to detail to research accounting standards and advise clients on various technical accounting and financial reporting matters in order to ensure they were compliant with regulations. Pavol also drove employee growth and motivated teams by serving as a formal and informal mentor and delivering critical feedback to 15+ team members. In addition, they developed task forces and created sample technical memos and other workpapers to assist teams in implementing recent accounting pronouncements and streamline audit documentation across multiple engagements, resulting in a significant reduction of audit hours and improved client delivery.

Before their time at EY, Pavol Polacik was a Tax Intern at Deloitte UK from January 2007 to April 2007. Pavol was also a Credit and Risk Intern at Split Rock Energy from January 2006 to September 2006.

Pavol Polacik attended the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business with a focus in Accounting and Finance.
