Matthew Schoaf

Matthew Schoaf is a seasoned real estate investment professional currently serving as the Managing Director of Investments at Article Student Living since August 2025. In this role, Matthew leads the Company’s Investments Team, focusing on sourcing, structuring, and closing new student housing acquisitions and development opportunities while collaborating with the leadership team to execute Article’s growth strategy. Prior to this position, Matthew was a Principal at Blue Vista Capital Management from January 2015 to August 2025, overseeing transactions for a middle-market equity fund and managing investments in various real estate asset classes. Previous experience includes key roles in acquisitions and asset management at Mesa Development, LLC, and DMB Associates, as well as positions at Fremont Investment & Loan, Transwestern Investment Company, and JLL. Matthew holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from Northwestern University, and an MRED from Arizona State University.
