The Field Representative will work closely with the Director of Business Development and the Operations Coordinator to oversee the field delivery/schedules of all products provided by BASE.  This position will also act as a BASE field representative to serve as the sole point of contact for the field to help investigate any discrepancies by either product or schedule, with a majority of the time spent in the field at various Van Metre communities. The estimating team will give guidance as issues with takeoffs arise which may need clarification in the field, as well as relying on what you see that could help alleviate future issues with material shortages or extras.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform field takeoffs to determine how much of each material will be needed to complete construction project
  • Assist in product ordering, to include but not limited to structural components, interior trim, exterior trim, and other product as needed
  • Assist in product delivery
  • Oversee and assist with re-stocking inventory of all material returns.
  • Assist with inventory and inventory audits
  • Support day-to-day operations of field and/or subcontractors on various projects; to include product warranty
  • Support project schedule and ensure on-time project delivery
  • Work alongside trade partners to ensure proper installation of BASE products
  • Oversee quality control of material use in the field
  • Work closely with Construction Managers
  • Assist in scheduling
  • Communicate effectively with all staff and employees
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of construction experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • General knowledge of building materials (i.e. Structural components, interior trim, and exterior trim)
  • Ability to read architectural plans
  • Ability to accurately utilize a tape measure and level
  • Ability to apply math, writing, and language skills
  • Ability to lift 80+ pounds
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • OSHA training preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must consent to perform or provide a current Motor Vehicle Record
  • Must meet company driving record requirements
  • Professional appearance and behavior
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Function with a high level of proficiency in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

  • Base Salary: $60,000-$65,000 annually (Pay is commensurate with experience, education, training, and skills)
