Maarten van der Sloot

Hydrographic Surveyor at Van Oord

Maarten Van der Sloot has extensive experience in hydrographic surveying, currently serving as a Hydrographic Surveyor at Van Oord since July 1996, where responsibilities include projects such as the Baydaratskaya Gas pipe crossing in northwestern Siberia, Russia, and acting as Chief Surveyor for the Barossa Pipeline trench dredging and backfill. Additionally, from March 2018 to January 2024, Maarten held the position of Survey Manager for the Levvel project at Afsluitdijk. Earlier experience includes roles as a Surveyor at Ballast Nedam from 1994 to January 2001 and a hydrographic intern at HMC in 1995. Maarten holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hydrographics from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, obtained between 1991 and 1995, as well as earlier education from 't Slingerbos from 1985 to 1990.
