Riens Koopman

Riens Koopman has a comprehensive work experience spanning several organizations. Riens began their professional journey at EY in 1987, where they worked as an Audit Manager until 1994. Afterward, they transitioned to Van Oord, where they held various leadership positions. From 1994 to 2000, they served as the Financial Manager before becoming the Area Controller from 2001 to 2018. Subsequently, they assumed the role of Director of Finance & Control for the Business Unit Dredging from 2019 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Finance & Control for the Business Unit The Netherlands. Additionally, Koopman has also contributed their expertise to Stichting Kindercentra Gorinchem, serving as a Member of the Supervisory Board from 2013 to 2020, including a term as Chairman in 2020.

Riens Koopman started their education journey at the Johannes Calvijn Lyceum in Kampen, where they completed their pre-university education from 1976 to 1982. Following this, they attended Windesheim from 1982 to 1986, where they studied Higher Education Business Administration and Economics. Riens then pursued a degree in auditing at NIVRA between 1987 and 1992. Finally, Koopman enrolled at the University of Amsterdam from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained their Chartered Accountant degree in Post-Master Accountancy.
