Sara Tumminia has a diverse range of work experience in the sports industry. Sara started their career at LOLA New York as a Sales Associate, where they sold jewelry and accessories and provided customer consultations and cashier duties.
Sara then interned at Iona College as a Sports Information Intern and at the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a Marketing Communications Intern. At Syracuse University, they served as a Student Ambassador for the David B. Falk College of Sport & Human Dynamics, where they spoke to prospective students about the Sport Management major and influenced their decision-making process. Sara was also a member of the Women In Sports and Events (WISE) organization, attending meetings, participating in community service, and helping plan events.
During their time at Syracuse, Sara was involved in the Sport Management Club, initially serving as a Member and later as the Vice President of Membership. In this role, they assisted the President, implemented creative ideas for meetings, and managed attendance and club dues.
Sara gained further experience at Steiner Sports as a Corporate Marketing Intern, supporting marketing events, corporate sales, and athlete procurement. Sara contributed to the re-branding of the website and promotional materials, developed market intelligence for new vertical segments, and maintained client relationships.
At Van Wagner, Sara held multiple roles, starting as a Sports Intern before becoming a Production Coordinator. Sara was responsible for overseeing production for MLB, NBA, and NCAA college basketball teams. Sara managed revenue tracking, contract drafting and circulation, and intern training. Sara later advanced to the position of Manager of Production and Client Services, where they supervised a remote intern, maintained the relationship with a production printer, and ensured timely production for MLB.
Sara also had the opportunity to work as a Syracuse Women's Basketball Student Manager, assisting coaches during practice and game days, including the 2016 ACC Tournament.

Sara Tumminia attended White Plains High School from 2009 to 2013, where they earned their GED. Following their high school education, they enrolled at Syracuse University in 2013 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Sport Management Major in 2017.
