Chris Fernando is an accomplished leader in the field of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), currently serving as the Regional Aviation Director for VHB since October 2025. With extensive experience in aviation planning and environmental services, Chris leads strategic initiatives in the Mid-Atlantic region. Additionally, Chris holds adjunct professor roles at the Florida Institute of Technology and Kent State University, teaching courses on Urban Air Mobility and infrastructure planning. Chris contributes to cutting-edge research as a faculty researcher and industry liaison at the ATLAS Lab and has held various consulting positions, including vice president at Radial Vector Consulting and senior AAM specialist for the FAA. Chris has also co-hosted the No U-Turn Podcast and earned a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, supplemented by ongoing education in aviation management at SKEMA Business School.
