Kara Peach

Kara Peach is a seasoned transportation planner with extensive experience in public engagement and health-focused planning. Currently employed at VHB since September 2014, Kara has contributed to key projects such as the Sierra/Lineberry Park Master Plan for the City of Raleigh and the North Carolina Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. Previous roles include serving as a Public Engagement Consultant at DHM Design and a Health and Community Planner at Planning Communities, LLC, where emphasis was placed on integrating health perspectives into transportation planning. Additionally, Kara has worked as a Physical Activity Specialist for the North Carolina Division of Public Health, enhancing community health through policy changes, and as a Project Coordinator at Wake Teen Medical Services, focusing on youth obesity prevention. Kara holds an MA in Health and Sports Studies from the University of Iowa and a BA in Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington.
