Meredith Avery

Managing Director, Massachusetts Environmental at VHB

Meredith Avery is the current Managing Director, of Massachusetts Environmental at VHB. Meredith has previous experience working as an Environmental Scientist at Jacobs Engineering Group, a Wetland Scientist at Sverdrup, and Chairman of the Melrose Conservation Commission. Meredith is responsible for working throughout the design process to avoid, minimize and mitigate impacts to natural resources. Meredith prepares permit submittals to obtain regulatory approval from the Environmental Protection Agency, US Army Corps of Engineers and Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program as well as from local Conservation Commissions. Meredith is well versed in the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act as it relates to large scale transportation projects including railroad, highway and airport projects.

Meredith Avery has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of New Hampshire and has done graduate level coursework in Urban and Environmental Policy at Tufts University. Meredith is also certified as an Envision Sustainability Professional.

Meredith Avery works with Eric Hartmann - SVP & CFO, Steve McElligott - SVP & Transportation Agencies Market Leader, and Dave Mulholland - SVP & CTO. Meredith Avery reports to Mike Carragher, Chairman, CEO & President.
