Nezihe Aquino

Nez Aquino is the Chief Risk Officer at Vancity. She has held progressive roles at Vancity over the last 14 years leading Finance, Payment Solutions, and Retail Banking prior her role as the CRO. Nez is a Chartered Professional Accountant with almost two decades of experience in banking. Her passion is to manage risk while serving Vancity’s members through innovative products and the organization’s deep involvement in the communities.

Nez’s team oversees the credit, legal services and enterprise risk management functions while building the organization's capacity to make timely, strategic decisions that help to deliver a differentiated member experience.

Before arriving at Vancity, she worked five years at the Bank of America, building upon expertise that would lead her to take on increasingly complex roles in finance and analytics. Nez also holds an MBA from Georgia State University.

She has contributed to communities and groups outside the organization. She is a director for the Board of Directors at Pacific Blue Cross, and served as a board member of Megaphone Magazine and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. In her spare time, Nez is an opera enthusiast who enjoys cooking and practicing yoga.
