Betsy Suydam

CFO at Vancouver Clinic

Chief Financial Officer Betsy Suydam supports strategic initiatives that help Vancouver Clinic to thrive and to continue offering phenomenal patient care to the community. She has a particular interest in promoting profitable growth and value-based care. She believes it’s a privilege to work alongside doctors, providers, and staff whose purpose is to serve others. Her goal is to be a valuable partner to clinical and nonclinical teammates, giving them the information they need to make informed decisions and positively impact the patient experience.

Betsy was using a 10-key to practice balancing a checkbook at age five. However, she got her true start in finance at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington, where she earned a bachelor of science in accounting and finance. From there she joined Moss Adams, where she worked as a senior manager. Before joining Vancouver Clinic, Betsy was vice president of accounting and finance for The Everett Clinic, part of Optum. Betsy is a certified public accountant and chartered global management accountant. She has more than 20 years of private and public health care experience. Betsy has served in various volunteer roles and is currently a committee member for Compass Health, a leading behavioral health care provider.

Away from work, Betsy enjoys spending time with her three children. Their family also includes two dogs and two cats. She is pretty certain she couldn’t live without coffee.
