Lucas Rempel

Lucas Rempel is a clinical research student currently engaged with Vancouver Coastal Health, focusing on research related to kidney transplant and immunology. Prior experience includes a role at UBC ICORD, where Lucas assisted in clinical trials centered on autonomic dysfunction in spinal cord injury patients, and a position as a research consultant at Caltech, supporting efforts for a surgical device technology startup. Additionally, Lucas contributed to research on cellular systems in tissue regeneration at the School of Biomedical Engineering at UBC, with multiple awards recognizing this work. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree at The University of British Columbia, Lucas previously earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Integrated Sciences, emphasizing physiology and genetics.
