Christine McLean has extensive experience in the field of human resources and employee relations. Christine is currently serving as the Director of Labour & Employee Relations at the Vancouver Police Department. Prior to this, they held the position of Director at the same organization.

Before joining the Vancouver Police Department, Christine worked as a Sessional Lecturer at Thompson Rivers University. Christine also served as the Director of Employee Relations at the BC Public Service Agency from November 2019 to July 2021.

Earlier in their career, Christine held various roles including Manager of Civilian & Auxiliary Police Services - Human Resources at the Vancouver Police Department, Human Resources Advisor at BCLC, Human Resources Advisor at the City of Kamloops, and Human Resources Business Partner and Workplace Health & Safety Consultant at the Interior Health Authority.

Throughout their career, Christine has demonstrated expertise in collective bargaining, employee relations, conducting investigations, strategic planning, and implementing HR programs. Christine has successfully influenced the organizational culture through their HR strategies and daily operations.

Christine McLean obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Human Resource Management from Thompson Rivers University, which they attended from 2001 to 2009. Later, they pursued their Master of Industrial Relations (MIR) degree from Queen's University from 2011 to 2013, specializing in Industrial Relations.
